Become a Behavior Therapist
Children with Autism are unique and have specific learning needs. As a Behavior Therapist, you’ll be trained to administer Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapies. Using a program developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you’ll help the child enhance his or her academic development, communications skills and social interactions. You’ll record the child’s progress, help him reach his goals and reward his accomplishments.
Is this job right for me?
Of course, the job is hard, and it’s not for everyone. You’ll have good days and bad days. But the rewards outweigh the challenges. Our Behavior Therapists love seeing their clients grow and learn and being part of the family.
No matter your career path, you’ll learn valuable skills that you’ll carry throughout your life and career. And if you decide to pursue a career in Human Services, the experience will launch a bright future.
