Your passion meets a critical need
A job that is more than a paycheck
HMEA partners with colleges and universities to provide students opportunities to offer Students for Higher: Rising up for Autism. Our first partnership with Assumption University was highly successful, and we soon expanded the program to accept students from all colleges and universities.
Through this innovative program, passionate and dedicated students can work as Behavior Therapists for families impacted by Autism in Central Massachusetts.
No experience is necessary. Training is provided. We provide paid comprehensive training and support, and we’ll be by your side every step of the way. Training is held either at a client’s home, Hudson office, ABA clinic, or Franklin offices. After training, you will receive your schedule. Each client you work with will be assigned a BCBA. The BCBA will provide any additional case specific training and will be there to support you along the way.
Your college major does not matter. Whether it’s human services, liberal arts, business or the sciences, you can give a family hope and help a child become the best he or she can be.
As a Behavior Therapist, you’ll earn a competitive part-time salary — $20 per hour.
Your schedule is flexible! You can work around your classes, projects and extra-curricular activities. You can work as few or as many hours as you’d like.
You’ll gain career-launching experiences. There is an urgent need for skilled therapists and respite care specialists in communities around the country. Finding a good-paying job after graduation just got easier!
